PISCATAWAY — Sergeant First Class Edeze (Eddie) A. Louis Jr., 38 passed away Tuesday (May 27, 2008) in Ft. Stewart, Ga.. Born in
Bellville he grew up in Piscataway before going into active duty in 2005 to Ft. Dix and then onto Ft. Stewart in 2007.
Mr. Louis graduated from Kean College with his Bachelors and from Montclair State University with his Masters in Guidance Counseling.
He was a teacher with the Piscataway School district before becoming a guidance counselor with the East Orange School District.
Along with obtaining the rank of Sergeant First Class in the United States Army, Eddie was with the 24th Finance Company and the 3rd
Special Troops Battalion, a member of the New Jersey State Federation of Baseball Umpires, a member of the International Association of Approved Basketball Officials, a member of the New Jersey Football Officials
Association, Manager of Baseball Officials for the Piscataway Township Recreation Department, and a long-time active baseball, basketball and football official for the township of Piscataway.
Eddie leaves to mourn him, his loving parents, Mr. Edeze A. Louis Sr., and Mrs. Earlene Annette Louis of Piscataway; his brother John
Patrice Louis of California; his sister Danielle Louis-Finklin and her husband DeReal Finklin of Piscataway; his niece Nubia Finklin; his nephew Marley Finklin and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Burial will be Friday 11 am in the Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C.. A visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9
p.m. Wednesday at the Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Rd., Piscataway, NJ 08854 with an 8 p.m. time of reflection. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Eddie Louis Scholarship Fund.
